I love the way a midi-pleated skirt looks. It's very feminine and classic, and there are a ton of ways to make it look very modern. Since I'm not super tall, I also try to keep in mind what shoes I'm wearing. Which is why pairing it with these sandal heels (yes, even in the winter) is my favorite option. To be totally honest, I will probably only wear this for holiday parties, and don't plan on being outside longer than it would take me to get from my car to back inside.
I love to wear this skirt with this lace crop top. Since it's a gold, sparkly skirt, why not get super dressed up in it? I definitely feel fancy! :) To finish off my look, I've added this statement necklace and dangle earring (I know, not something I do very often!).
Such a cute outfit to bring in the New Year! I hope you and yours have a happy and safe New Year!

Green Velvet Dress
I'm so excited velvet started coming back last year! I remember all the velvet dresses I wore as a little girl, and I totally miss that. They were so soft, and 100% '90s lol. Last year, I found this dress and I definitely squealed a tiny bit when I found it.
Since it's a shift dress, there really isn't any shape to it. I debated wearing a belt with it, and maybe I will in the future. But for today, since the dress doesn't have sleeves, I decided to wear this tweed cropped jacket.
Then I added these black booties and a statement necklace to finish off the look! So festive and fun!

Black Lace Dress
I love dressing up for the holidays. I'm pretty sure I mention this every year, but it's true! I actually really love dressing up in general, but for the most part, the holidays are really the only chance I get. So of course, I was really excited to be able to wear this black lace dress for the holidays!
As I've also mentioned before, I love the color combination of black and red. I really think it's a sharp contrast that totally compliments each other. Don't you just love when that happens? So naturally I wore red lip stick to compliment the all black dress. I thought about adding a red clutch or nail polish too, but I didn't want it to be too much.
I actually ended up wearing my black closed toe heels, but I clearly forgot to add them for these pics! But again, the simplicity of the all black was really what I was going for. To finish the look, I added these rounded silver drop earrings to give it a little shine, but not distract. Love it!

Velvet Tank and Black Skirt
I've worn this tank in many ways over the last year since I bought it. I originally bought it for a holiday outfit, but liked it so much, I wanted to wear it more. I did get pretty uncomfortable on the really hot days during the summer, but the cooler days were just perfect.
So as Thanksgiving got closer and I had to decide what to pack, this option went to the top of the list! I think it looks really cute with this simple black flare skirt. And of course, it's not super warm out, so I added tights and booties.
I also added this tan sweater because I really think adding a black sweater would have been too much black (is that possible? Ben says no.) I think the tan sweater worked really well with the color of the tank and the tan on my booties! How exciting when it all comes together like this! :)

Red Cardigan & Denim Dress
I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use out of this sweater this winter. It's really warm and goes with way more in my closet than I originally thought it would. Shopping score!
As it gets colder out, layering is key. So today, I'm wearing this cardigan over my denim dress. Since the dress doesn't really have any shape to it, I like to add this caramel belt to give me some shape and to compliment my booties. It's pretty comfy to wear while decorating the tree (but once the pictures were done, the shoes came off!).
It's a fun, festive outfit for this time of year! And I can't wait to get more use out of this cardigan all winter!

Brown and Blue Stripes
Since this time of year is so cold, one thing I tend to gravitate to are bulky sweaters to keep me warm. I'll pretty much be cold from now until May! (ha!) While this sweater isn't actually as warm as I thought it would be, it's super comfy and that's pretty much a win.
I normally wear it my super dark denim since the navy in the sweater is pretty close to the shade of jeans. Sometimes I add my caramel booties, but today I added my grey booties. Since it's a pretty wide sweater, so I don't like to add jewelry. Simple and comfy!
Now that I know how thin it truly is, I will try to find ways to layer it so I can keep wearing it the colder it gets. Maybe I'll add a tee underneath, or a chunky scarf. Stayed tuned for what I decide!

Red Ruffles
I've fallen in love with sweaters with bell sleeves, but recently I saw a co-worker wearing a sweater with ruffle sleeves and I loved it! It's like the next level of bell sleeves.
I tend to wear red with black. I guess I really love the combination. But because I wear it so often together, I figured I'd change it up and wear my super dark denim (which I realize now is not totally obvious in these pictures). I, of course, still wore my black booties.
I'm not going to lie, I feel pretty fancy in this sweater because of the sleeves, so I added this statement necklace. I didn't add any earrings today, but I think if I change my mind on this necklace, I may switch it up and wear dangley earrings instead. For now, I'm loving this look!

Grey Cross Front Sweater
Does this sweater count as a wrap front top? I'm going with no, but it's pretty close. I saw a few bloggers I follow had something similar, so I went on the hunt for myself. It actually wasn't too hard to find!
I love it in this light grey color. And it's pretty warm, so I'll probably wear it all winter! It's super easy to pair with all shades of blue denim, black denim, even colored denim! My favorite is my medium shade of denim. and my light grey booties.
Since the front lays a little low because of the faux wrap, I added my crystal and crescent moon necklace, but really kept it pretty simple.

Black Sweater, Plaid Skirt
This outfit, mostly the sweater, is SO comfy! Sometimes I worry about how comfortable I'll be in a dress or skirt at this time of year, but I know I don't have to worry about it in this outfit! I've been on the look out for some fun printed skirts, and this plaid one falls right into that category.
Since the main colors are tan and black, I wanted to find a black top to go with this skirt. And as I was unpacking my winter wardrobe, I realized, that is not an issue. I apparently have a lot of black already. Did that stop me from buying another black sweater? Absolutely not.
This black sweater has baggy sleeves, which add a cute detail to a simple sweater. Since it's been pretty cold out already, I added black tights and I normally wear my black booties. If I'm feeling brave, I also plan to wear my over the knee boots (and no tights!). We'll see if I'm brave enough though...
I'm still playing around with the different jewelry I may wear with this. Luckily, it's a good thing to switch it up and wear different things. For today, I added my crystal and crescent moon necklace and stud earrings. But I think next time, I'll wear a fun statement necklace.

The Future is Female
I often try to find pieces for my wardrobe that I can layer and get more use out of. Open front sweaters definitely fall into this category. I usually grab neutral colors, so I can throw them over most outfits and still look fine. This is what I had in mind when I found today's sweater. Of course, how soft and warm it is really helped convince me that I needed it even more. :)
Since it's a neutral, I can really wear it with anything. I've defiantly worn it over many of my tops already this Fall. But I think "The Future is Female" tee, is probably my favorite. Of course, I love the saying on the front, but I also really like the color combination of the tee and sweater.
I've paired it with my lighter destroyed denim and Chuck Taylors. It's super comfy and great for running errands or hanging out in. Because it's a bit of a casual outfit, I didn't add any jewelry, keeping it pretty simple and pretty.

Knot and Buttons
I have seen so many people with this top, I knew I needed it too. I'm not normally one to follow trends too closely, until I know it'll be worth spending some money on. Yes, I of course have fallen for some, but they tend to last for more than one season (bell sleeves anyone). I like investing in my clothes, knowing I be able to wear them for a few year.
I'm still not sure how long this trend will last, but I'm totally obsessed with this top. It's a little baggy, so it feels like a hug. It's lightweight, but long sleeves, so it's a perfect transitional top. And the color! It's sooo pretty!
Because it is a pretty causal top, I like to wear it with jeans. I really like it with these dark jeans, but I've also worn them with my lighter destroyed denim. Either way, I'm probably wearing these booties too (since they are my favorites). I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this top this fall!

Black and White Stripe Sweater
I really don't wear too many crop tops. This shouldn't be too surprising, since I am 30 after all. When I do wear them, though, it tends to be with higher waisted bottoms--which I also don't wear too much of (unless it's a skirt). Sometimes I'll find one that's really cute and I'll take a chance on it.
Well Target recently has had a TON of crop tops. So many of them are adorable, but I really can't wear them to work. But this crop top, wasn't too short, and I think because of the colors, I found a way to make it appropriate.
Because of the large black and white stripes, I decided to wear a black tank underneath, making my tank look like the next stripe. I also paired it with black jeans and booties to stick with the colors. I also added these round white earrings, to keep it from being too casual. It's a perfect lightweight sweater for these cooler days.
I've worn it a few times and I've added statement necklaces with some color or even color dangle earrings to add a little pop. But sometimes I like to keep it simple, like today.

Burgundy Button Up Tank
I apparently did a lot more fall shopping than I realized earlier this summer. I realized that as the weather was getting cooler, I don't have a lot of options for the in between days. I mostly have spring/summer styles and then heavy winter sweaters. I'm not sure if I layered more last year, but this year it seems like I need more light weight tops to get by. So that's been my focus when going shopping.
I gravitated to this top because of the color. I love jewel tone colors, and this definitely falls into that category! Because it's a tank, I started wearing it in August, but a few people told me I looked too much like Fall. And let's be honest, no one wants to rush the end of summer more than me. So I waited.
And NOW it's time! Although, now it's also cooler out, so I have to wear a sweater with it too. Regardless, it's perfect for those days that start out really chilly and end up being closer to 80. Because it has the buttons down the front and the tie, I really don't want to add too much accessories. I did add this thin chain necklace with a moon and a star. But it's the thickest chain I would wear with this. But I've worn it a few times and every time I tend to lean toward different stud earrings.
I also wore this top with my darkest jeans and black peep toe booties. The color in the tank is pretty deep, so I thought it looked funny with lighter jeans. I have, however, also worn this outfit with my caramel colored booties. I think the caramel and burgundy goes really well together. And finally I added this sand colored sweater. As I mentioned, it's getting cooler, so I'll freeze wearing just a tank.

Pink Stripes and Ripped Jeans
I have recently purged a TON of items from my closet. Styles that I had were either getting too worn, I don't fit into them or I just don't like them anymore. I was getting tired of pushing past the items that fell into these categories, so I finally pulled them out! (I am trying to sell some on Poshmark, so find me @Jracine8185 ). With less options in my closet, I had to go shopping, right? Hello, anyone?
Well, clearly I did. And I found so many cute things, that now I'm a little excited about Fall. This top was found at a recent Target trip. And let me say, it is SOO soft!! That's really the main reason why I picked it up. Then I tried it on and realized it has the really cute twist front on it making it a little cuter than a regular tee.
Since it's super casual, I wore it with a pair of destroyed denim and booties. I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of this top, this fall.

Black and White Stripes with Flowers
My hunt for new dresses continue, at the same time as my obsession with wrap dresses. I think this one might be my favorite one that I've found. The black and white stripes have toned it down a little from my bright colored wrap dresses. But the added flower prints make it a little girly.
Since there's a lot of cute details to this dress, I don't want to add too much jewelry or accessories. I tend to wear simple studs, but today I didn't even wear anything. I did however, add these heeled sandals, because they've been my favorite all summer.

Navy Floral Dress
As I mentioned at the beginning of summer, I was on the hunt for new dresses. I didn't go too crazy, but I think I was pretty successful. This was one of the dresses that found it's way to my closet.
I really love the colors in it. I don't have too much of these colors in general, but definitely not together. Honestly, I hadn't even thought about combining these colors until I saw this dress. Of course they look great together, I might try to combine them in other outfits in the future!
For this outfit, I really didn't want to add too much more to distract or overwhelm my look. But I was really excited because I was able to wear my straw Pinspiration (here) handbag with it! Side note, I've definitely been wearing it all summer, but I really like it with this dress.
Figuring out what shoes to wear with it was pretty easy because in the details are this caramel color that I also have in this strappy heal. And I added my off white flower stud earrings to tie it all together.

Blue Wrap Dress
As I mentioned here, I'm really into wrap dresses and tops. They really compliment any body type, and who doesn't appreciate that? I found this dress when I was looking for dresses for my sister's Bridal Shower. I bought it not even planning to wear it to the shower, but I thought it was a really cute dress I could wear to work. As the shower got closer and I still didn't have something I really liked, I realized I already had the perfect dress.
Since it's such a pretty color, I really didn't need to add a lot more to it. I decided to wear my caramel heels because they were not as harsh as a black heel. I added my clear stud earrings to dress up a little more. Super easy and really pretty.
