Blue Velvet

Crushed velvet is such a fun trend right now! At first I was nervous I was going to look like a little girl in one of those holiday outfits my mom used to dress me in. But I've found a few pieces that are really fab and totally not my childhood style.

This tee was the first step back into wearing crushed velvet for me. And (surprise, surprise) it's from Target's new line!

It's a very simple navy with short sleeves and a crew neck. Because it's navy, I like to wear it (so far) with my white jeans and tan booties. Since it has a crew neck, wearing statement necklaces are pretty easy. I am wearing it with a pearl and chain double necklace and pearl earrings.
