Best Holiday Movies

One of my favorite things about this time of year are the festive movies. In most of these movies, there may be one thing that takes place around the holidays, and that's all it takes to classify as a holiday movie, but I love most of them anyway!

But how do you choose which ones to watch? I try to watch as many as I can (of course including Hallmark Holiday Movies), but I have a few that I have to watch every year. Here's my top 5 faves with a little description in case you haven't seen it yet:

Starring: Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed & Lionel Barrymore
A very frustrated bank owner questions if everyone in his life would be better off without him. But when he saves a stranger from drowning, he gets a chance he could never have imagined.

A Miser Brothers' Christmas (2008)
Voice Starring: Mickey Rooney, George S. Irving
The North Wind wants to take Christmas from Santa. Santa has a new chief mechanic, who creates a new high tech sleigh for him. When Santa takes the new sleigh out for a spin, he gets caught in the cross fire of the Heat Miser and Snow Miser's feud and crashes. The North Wind takes advantage of the situation, but can he handle Santa's job?

*Please note, on the older movies, there are out of date ideals and views. I do not agree or condone any of this*
