Wedding Tips: Honeymoon Locations part 1

How do you choose where to go on your honeymoon? I mean there are so many options! This, of course, mainly depend on what you and your partner actually like to do. Do you like to lounge on the beach? Or go hiking? Or explore ruins? There are so many things, and luckily a lot of places have a little bit of everything for those of you who can’t decide (like me!). When B and I were trying to figure out where we wanted to go, we thought about all the different cities offered. We love to explore, and immerse ourselves in the local lifestyle, along with being totally touristy and finding time to relax. Sounds confusing, but there are so many places that have these options. So today's Honeymoon post is broken into two parts focusing on the different activities you could do at each location. Today I talk about the best places to relax and to go on adventures:

Lake Tahoe 

Best places to just relax:
Maui, HI
Best time to visit: Spring and fall
Best Beach: Kaanapali Beach

Lake Tahoe, CA
Best time to visit: March-May and September-November
Best thing to do: Emerald Bay State Park (the most photographed perhaps?)

Yellowstone, CA
Best time to visit: April-November (but tourism picks up in July and August)
Best spot to see: Grand Prismatic Spring

Napa Valley, CA
Best time to visit: August-November (the busiest time being August-October)
Best thing to do: wine tour of course! There are so many packages so be sure to look around!

Aspen, CO
Best time to visit: December-February
Best thing to do: Ski, Snowboard, snow shoe, etc.

Finger Lakes, NY
Best time to visit: May-September (but prices will also be higher)
Best thing to do: There are hundreds of wineries, breweries, and distilleries along all the lakes, so pick one, or go to a few. Most have beautiful views of either the lake or the mountains surrounding them.

Best time to visit: Mid-April to June, but it's also really good thru December too
