One really fun trend this year are ponchos. This is by no means a new trend, but it's seen a growth in interest this fall and now winter. But how do you wear one so you don't look like you're wearing a sack?
First of all there are a few different types of poncho. There is the pullover style, which is the easiest to wear. Most of this style poncho comes to a point in the front and back, and is a little higher on your sides. So what do you wear with it? Skinny jeans or leggings and a long sleeve tee are def the best way to balance out the materials you're wearing. But you can also pair it with a skirt or dress that isn't too "flowy".
The next type of poncho is one with buttons or buckles near your neck or shoulder. This style again pretty much dictates how you will wear it: with skinny jeans/leggings and a long sleeved tee. This can also be worn with a dress or skirt that isn't too "flowy".
The next type of poncho is probably the hardest style to wear, because it's essentially a blanket you can wear in public. Who doesn't love that?! Anyway, the way the material is cut gives you a specific place for your head and arms. You can either wear it as is, or you can belt it to give you some shape and hold it in place.

There are many versions of the above ponchos, but once you get comfortable wearing any of these styles, it won't matter how similar they are. Enjoy wearing your blanket in public! I sure do :)
